Break out those yoga pants! It's time to boost those feel good endorphins through a 45 minute light yoga flow class with baby in tow!

DETAILS:

Postnatal yoga practice offers a great chance for Mom to strengthen and heal. Yoga poses in this class will help strengthen pelvic floor & abdominal muscles that have undergone significant changes during the prenatal period. 

Baby will meet their daily quota of physical activity, while developing motor skills and body awareness through gentle physical activity.

Each session we will allot some time to connect with other participants. We will flow through some gentle yoga poses together & then enjoy a nice cool down and savasana.

No prior yoga experience is necessary.

Please bring your yoga mat and a blanket/toys for baby.

SESSION SCHEDULE:

4th April 2024 @10am - 10:45am

11th April  2024 @10am -10:45am

18th April 2024 @10am - 10:45am

25th April 2024 @ 10am - 10:45am 

Please make sure you are at least 6 weeks postpartum and have gotten the okay from your doctor/midwife to participate in physical activity.

This class is ideal for babies 2-12 months old.

Meet your Instructor: Tara Stokes

Tara Stokes embarked on her journey in the world of health and fitness at the tender age of 18. Starting out in the vibrant atmosphere of a local gym, Tara quickly found herself drawn to the transformative power of physical activity and its impact on well-being.

For 13 years, Tara honed her skills as a dedicated personal trainer, sculpting bodies and inspiring clients to push their limits. Her desire for holistic well-being led her to her first yoga class. Recognizing its profound effects on both the body and mind, Tara became a certified yoga instructor, delving into private, semi-private, and large class settings.

Driven by a commitment to serve a diverse range of individuals, Tara obtained additional certification in pre and post-natal yoga, recognizing the unique needs and challenges faced by mothers. This knowledge proved invaluable as Tara evolved her practice, introducing specialized classes such as "Me and Mini Yoga" and "Stroll and Stretch for Baby Bump" in 2016.

Tara's classes extend beyond the physical aspects of yoga, fostering a sense of community and support for new mothers. With a deep appreciation for the transformative journey of motherhood, Tara takes immense joy in witnessing her participants not only rejuvenate their bodies but also connect and relate with other moms navigating a similar stage in life.

For Tara Stokes, the fulfillment derived from her work extends beyond physical fitness; it's about creating a space where moms can reclaim their strength, share experiences, and build lasting connections. Tara has made a home in Brandon alongside her husband, two kids, a dog, and a cat. By day, she delves into the world of marketing, and by night, she seamlessly transitions into the role of a dedicated Mom to her family. With the flexibility of her work schedule, she cherishes the opportunity to continue teaching at Baby Bump.
