The Basics- Infant/Child CPR + First Aid

Want to learn how to keep your young children safe by gaining a great understanding of prevention, what to look for in an emergency, and how to act quickly and effectively if the unthinkable occurs?  Join Jennifer Anderson, Training Partner and First Aid/CPR Instructor with the Canadian Red Cross for our The Basics Infant CPR and First Aid Workshop.

This informative course focuses on infant/child CPR, responding to choking, allergic reactions, fever and seizures, lacerations, accident prevention once baby is mobile and when to call 911 and go to the ER.  This course will help you to know exactly what to do (and what NOT to do) in a scary situation.

This 60-90 minute workshop is specifically designed for parents, grandparents, family members and caregivers. It is for knowledge only and no certification will be awarded.

MEET YOUR TRAINER:

Jennifer Anderson

I'm a busy mom with two littles, Avery and Josh.  I spend most of my time at the dance studio and hockey rink; when I'm not running my kids around I enjoy playing volleyball and golf.  I usually have snacks in my purse, multiple drinks in my cupholders, and I'm always going a mile a minute. 

I started teaching First Aid way back in 2009 as a way to branch out from my full-time work in safety.  I enjoyed doing it so much that I now have a business providing training to groups and individuals around Western Manitoba. 

I think it's an essential skill that everyone should have.  As a parent, I'm so happy that I can help other parents and caregivers develop knowledge and skills to safely care for their children, family and friends.
